Insurance & Fees

Information Regarding Fees and Payment

Psychotherapy involves emotional and financial commitments that together shape the therapeutic frame.

This page is intended to clarify fees, insurance options, and payment arrangements, so that these aspects of the work can be held transparently and thoughtfully from the outset of treatment.

Fee and Insurance Information

1

Private Pay

Private pay patients pay fees directly, without involving insurance. This option is often chosen by individuals who value confidentiality or who prefer not to have diagnostic information submitted to an insurance company.

• Individual psychotherapy: $375 per 50-minute session

• Sliding scale: A limited number of reduced-fee appointments are available on a case-by-case basis for those with financial need.

• Couples therapy: $450 per 50-minute session

Out-of-Network Insurance Reimbursement

I can provide a superbill containing the information your insurance company may require for potential reimbursement.

Coverage varies widely by plan. You may wish to ask your insurer about:
• deductible requirements
• reimbursement rates
• session limits

Upon request, I can supply credentialing details such as my NPI, EIN, and New York, New Jersey, or Vermont license number.

Common CPT codes used include 90834 and 90837.

Other

 • Payment may be made using FSA or HSA accounts.

If none of the above options feel workable for you, you are welcome to reach out to discuss your situation. In some cases, alternative arrangements may be possible. If we are not able to work together, I am often able to provide referrals to trusted colleagues whose practices may be a better fit financially.
